My first reaction to this striking news was that it’s just gossip. However the news link posted by Javed A Khan revealed all.

It is quite amazing to know the romance has been going on for a while. Is this just a ploy by Malik to get back at his Hyderabadi in-laws, to show them a glamour model can fall for him? I think for Malak saab this is just a “time pass” romance- Saab has become a celebrity now so he wants to live a life like Indian showbiz celebrities. Or maybe he is following the footsteps of the Rawalpindi born Usman Afzaal who is a County player in the UK. Afzaal is dating the sex icon Amrita Arora who is an Indian actress, the sister of Salman Khan’s sister in law Malaika Khan Arora.

Sayali is just a low budget and low profile actress, with all due respect. However she still deserves better than Malak.

I did not ever think Malik could date an Indian actress. In all his interviews he keeps stressing he is a “seedha saadha bacha” who listens to his “amma”, who follows his religion and culture rigorously and who is a proud Punjabi with Punjabi blood flowing in his veins. Why then, Malak saab, are you dating this actress?

Earlier Raina acted like an eager beaver assuming that the rain will come and he must be ahead of SL in terms of run rate applied by the D/L method. He was perhaps not aware that India were already at par then and by losing a wicket means they had to score more runs to be at par or ahead of SL in case of D/L method but the number of overs remaining were more than that and Raina was not bothered with that, after hitting one four he lofted the ball up in the air and threw away his wicket. I ‘ve heard that Pyaasa song before on CD and lately our CBN TV channel which shows 24/7 cricket or golden hits (Indian songs) and in between waiting for the matches to start, very recently I ‘ve watched a few songs of Guru Dutt and not just that Pyaasa song but, a few more like:

This kinda poetry which is known as “Takraar” or argument, is also in one of Dilip Kumar and Vijayantimala’s movie called Leader which I saw recently and it is: Tere husn ki kya tareef keroon kuch kehtay howay bhee derta hoon kaheen bhool say tu na samajh baithay kay mai tujh say mohabat kerta hoon? And she goes on saying, ‘mere dil may kasak see hoti hai meray saamnay jab tu aata hai….. its so funny and yet so meaningful and melodious and it is any time better than:

Dono kisi ko nazar nahee ayen …. Chall dariyaa may doob jain…. LOL.

One of the serious songs of Geeta Dutt which I like is the opening song of Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam. I rate Geeta Dutt much above Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle, because Geeta Dutt’s voice is more deep and it has more “Khannak” than the other two, in fact Lata’s voice is very nasal. She is exactly the opposite of Shamshad Begum, that lay kay pehla, pehla pyar bhar kay aankhon may khumar of CID.

That opening song of Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam:

She has an amazing voice its a shame that she died young, even her Bhajans are so melodious that you cant ignore it by simply listening and just sitting around, you start grooving on the music, you tend to react unintentionally and interact harmoniously with pleasurable excitement. If I mention those Bhajan’s the Mullah types will condemn me for being a Kaafir. I would admit that Kaafir hoon par Mushrik nahee hoon mai. And I consider those Bhajans as melodious and a couple of them are:

Right now, I am forgetting the Geeta Dutt wala Bhajan ………Please enlighten me by reminding me. I think I have mentioned that one before on this website because, Pakspin would have never allowed digressing that much. Although there was a thread on Qawalli and Reggae and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Bob Morley were discussed and that was just before the Caribbean World Cup.

Thanx for posting those videos. Yusuf khan (aka dilip kumar) is one of those persona whom u never get tired of …. u always want a little more of him. After being in industry for so many years .. its no less than a great feat.

Today we hear lots of talk ab’t “method acting” … but those who have witnessed him on screen in his era will tell u what this fuss is all about. There are many incidents which can tell u his love toward acting and characters. Reportedly when Vimal roy offered him the role of devdas .. he wasn’t sure of that character and after reading that novel he didnt like either … but he took the chance to portray him just because, for him it was a challenge to go into the psyche of a destructive guy whom he think shud behave differently. And as they say, rest is history.

But he had to pay price for that daring … he was so submerged in that role that his own character getting conflicted by that and his personal life got fucked up … he then consulted a psychiatrist in London and remained under his supervision for a long time. This bit of news got into limelight after Gurudutt approached him for the lead role of movie Pyasa, that he politely refused it and told him the reason. Now i wonder if gurudutt had waited for a year or so and then casted him in pyasa .. wow!!! … whenever i think ab’t this situation i get goosebumps … just imagine a frame captured by gurudutt with ultra intense dilip kumar and one of the most revolting lyrics by sahir ludhiynavi
