Today's forecast is: Muneer aaj bijlee ki terha chumkay gaa aur baadal ki terha gurjay gaa aur balai ilaqaon may phir bhee baarish nahee hogi, sirf gurj - chamak hogi :D Aur kuch?

Shoaib,

There is always a time in your life when you want to have some Upnaiyat and by that I never meant any particular race or sect, but your friends, whoever and wherever they may be from and the longer you know them the better Upnaiyat you get. Making new friends is easy but it is not the same as old friends. It takes time to know people. Anyways, on this blog we discuss a lot of things aur cricket tou ek bahana hai ........ ;-)

I hope you can have some Upnayiat on this blog. We had Abdul, Viseem Sakab on the blog who were also from Lahore. Awas is also from Lahore, now he can't say he is the only Punjabi here :)

We are all Pakastanees at the end of the day, so it does not matter who is from where.

Shoaib

Awas is a CA and has been living in London for years, he might be able to give you some insight. I am a former banker I had some good time and good lifestyle in Dubai. Although, Dubai is the best place in the entire Middle East, but I don't like that environment anymore. And, it is a wrong perception that they (all Arab countries) respect the colour of the passport, NO they look at the colour of your skin first and then the colour of your passport. They are openly biased whereas others are candid.

Except for the weather I am happy here. The kinda lifestyle and weather you are looking for probably you will find it in the western USA. For that you have to be rich. Every place has its own plus and minuses. I know a lot of people who have talked so much good about Malaysia and Philippines for luxurious lifestyle without being terribly rich but, I haven't been there so I am not the right person to comment. I like Turkey due to various personal reasons and I have been there 4 times, twice for work and twice for vacation. I prefer staying at Istanbul and visiting other cities for a few days like Izmir, Mersin etc., but, not Ankara it is dull and boring.

What one always needs in the end is friends where you feel "Upnaiyat" and that is hard to find after a certain age. Therefore, wherever you are settled it is hard to leave that place and go to a new one.

Once again Thanks Javed Sahab.

Javed Sahab I am a professional Cost Management Accountant, now doing ACCA and getting work experience from UK, I am planning for max. 3 more years here, I hope i would complete my degree and would have carried enough experience with me by the end of 2012. So after watching some live action of London Olympics, i will be ready to say goodbye to this country. I dunno some people say that UAE gives so much respect to an accountant with red passpot (typical inferior complexity of eastern world) and people say living standards are not bad there.

Javed bhai my requirement is not complex. I am gonna go somewhere where i can have a modern lifestyle ( open fresh air, no terrorism attacks, tropical weather would be nice, big enough house where you can relax and not feel like Pakistani style chickens in cage) i just want where i can earn good money from my profession and my wife can have some rest, she has done enough work now its her time to have rest after 2012. I mean i want the place where i can earn enough money so i can meet expenses comfortably without being wife working etc.

Im sorry if i am bothering you Javed Sahab.

Thanks and goodnight

Shoaib

Right now Sweetie has labeled me as a "weatherman" and if I answer your questions she might change the label to "real-estate man" and I thought you know that I am in Montreal, anyways, now you know. Over here we have July and we have winter. Some people say, we have 4 seasons here viz., winter, more winter, severe winter and construction. I hate construction of roads, buildings, bridges and traffic jams, I have experienced enough of it in the UAE and there its a never-ending business and here it is a big mafia, they do patch-work to make more money and the pot holes are eternal. The City is beautiful but the roads are awful.

As regards giving you a suggestion on where to live? Frankly speaking I dunno what your needs and requirements are so, its hard for me to suggest or name any country where you would like to live comfortably. Home is where your heart is. But, Dubai is definitely NOT a country or a city to settle down. I have spent two decades of my life there and that was nice time, now its not the same, its a very artificial country where everything is artificial and phony. I don't like it anymore, I simply miss my friends that's all.

Ps.

Sweetie
At least the weatherman made your day................................. hehehe tou kiya tum nay! :D

Thanks for your comments over Canadian winter weather, hows your summer period and for how long summer time is in canada? if you dont mind asking whats the name of your home city in canada. I heard that canada stays extremly cold in winter and vice versa in summer. least you would have proper summer. I hate british weather, you can have 4 seasons in one day and i experienced it too. it's just rubbish. summer is not proper summer, just few good summer days or weeks and thats it. winter is not proper winter, one day its extremely cold and next day would be mild. I have both heater and fan in my lounge pluuged in ready to use. I have had enough of this country, i am thinking to move out, may be Dubai may be something else, i dunno.
