Welcome to Pakcric

Hi folks

This blog is for those who love cricket in general and who are passionate about Pakistan cricket (to be more specific). I pledge to update your comments very frequently.

There are obviously some rules that everyone must abide by:

1)NO abusive comments will be tolerated
2)NO politically motivated comments will be allowed
3)I reserve the right to edit and remove posts as I wish
4)Posts must NOT exceed 1 side of “A4” size unless in exceptional circumstances (what may be deemed as “exceptional” is solely my prerogative)
5)There is an option to leave “anonymous” posts but only posts with names will be allowed, which means if you select the “anonymous” option I will NOT allow your post. The easiest way to post is to click on “other” (not “anonymous” or “google/blogger”) and state your name. In order to post, click the “comments” link below my posts.
6)Generally posts that do not relate to the topic of the thread will NOT be allowed. However in exceptional circumstances I may allow them
7)The decision of the blog owner (i.e. ME) is final

There is an excellent blog called “PakSpin” on the website http://www.cricinfo.com which inspired me to create my own blog. I am a member of Pakspin but unfortunately it is not updated as regularly as I would like. PakSpin is managed by Mr Kamran Abbassi, a very accomplished and decent individual who has done a lot for Pakistan cricket.

I want this to be YOUR blog that caters for your interests and views. The most regular and insightful commentators who abide by the rules of the blog will be elevated to a “Members Committee (MC)” of Pakcric. The benefits of membership are:
1) it’s free
2) each member will be entitled to start one thread of their preference per month. you can post your topic and I will update it
3) members can exchange contact details
4) members can post suggestions to me if they want me to start a thread about a particular topic

So I look forward to read your comments and discuss issues with yourselves. Please abide by the rules of the blog and hopefully we will have a rocking time!!!

Nice one! What made you decide to go solo? I just found your website address on Mr Abbasi’s blog. So out of curiosity wanted to see what it is. So how is going? I bet you got fed up with censorship. It’s a shame as I have suffered too but we must soldier on.

    Hi Awas,
Thanks for your message. I kind of predicted you would be amongst the first visitors 🙂 I am honoured, thanks.

Unfortunately the response to my “advert” on Pakspin has been poor. You are the only one who has really left a comment on my blog. I hope you will be able to persuade others to post on my blog too (subject to Mr Abbasi’s clearance)?

Also, as the first poster I am offering you inclusion in the Members Committee of Pakcric. It’s not much, but you will find more opportunities here to make yourself heard than you will on Pakspin 🙂

Thanks again for your support. It’s not like I am going solo- it’s just that I want to start a blog that is updated more frequently than Pakspin. I will still remain committed to Pakspin.

    Goodbye and god bless!

    Khansahab

    Dear Samy,
Thanks for your kind words. Don’t worry I will be a regular poster on Pakspin as long as it exists!

    🙂

Hey man! whats up. I saw the suspension notice but decided to post anyway. Not looking to get it posted or anything. It has been tough to watch pakistan play without any sort of pride. Even our commentators have gone native. hope to have better news in the future. Good luck with the blog. At least someone has taken an initiative and in my opinion it needs to be supported.

Sir; what is your e-mail address?

    I didn’t see it anywhere.
Perhaps you may want to e-mail me on death500@hotmail.com (NOT my main e-mail address) to pass your e-mail address on to me in case you prefer not to divulge it to other viewers.

    Salam

I have vowed not to Post at Pakspin anymore due to excessive censorship and the new rules.I assume almost all the regulars at pakspin check out your blog periodically,I would like to say goodbye to all of them and would ask for forgiveness If I have ever offended anyone with my comments at Pakspin.

    Wasim Bhai,

I know you must have been upset by the strange rules of Pakspin- I could see you did not post for a while(or your post was not allowed). I have made suggestions to Mr Abbasi to stop allowing regionally motivated comments and personal remarks but he wants to do opposite of what I requested him to. I am probably younger than you hence I am not in an excellent position to offer any advice, but you must not give up. You are welcome to post here anytime and if you want (if you already don’t know) I will give you instructions how to make your own blog, if you want to start one. I asked for your forgiveness many times, if I offended you on Pakspin, but Mr Abbasi would not allow my comments, and you do not need to ask me or anyone for any forgiveness, trust me. Don’t lose hope and be in touch. Your comments are very accurate and intelligent, Pakistani cricket fans need you to keep posting.

Thanks for your message and Fi Amanullah

    (keep in touch)

Today I was also going through the hsitory of LEGSLIP and wow the blog has really progressed in 6 months and now we have so many different people with different opinions and analysis and come to debate and discuss over the game we all love. Also as I’m here allow me to be able to comment on the very first thread on the blog and allow me to say “chuck de legslip”!
